Although we intended to review the revised weekend liturgical schedule after a few months, the COVID-19 situation basically remains unchanged since resuming public worship in late May. Therefore, we will continue with the current liturgical schedule.
Initially, the intention was to ensure enough time to disinfect between liturgies (including Saturday funerals and weddings). Furthermore, because the coronavirus has put a number of our clergy at high risk, some of our priests who assist are unable to provide coverage at this time.
Because many parishioners venture out of their homes on a very limited basis, the extra time between liturgies has afforded us the opportunity to spend time hearing confessions and meeting with individuals needing pastoral care. We thank you for your continued cooperation as we make every effort to meet the wider needs of our parish community.
