Dear Parishioners and Friends,
As we enjoy these August day, we look forward to our celebration commemorating the 150th anniversary of the church’s cornerstone. All are welcome to join us Saturday, August 21st at the 5:00pm Vigil Mass, followed by an outdoor social with boxed meals. In the event of inclement weather, we’ll move the social indoors to the Lower Hall.
August is also the month that we’re making final preparations for the roof project which will actually begin on or before September 1. Please check out the details in today’s bulletin. And thank you for your patience!
I also want to take this opportunity to thank the members of our new Communications Committee. In response to some of the ideas raised during our Building With Living Stones small group sessions, along with emerging needs identified during Covid, the members of this committee will assist us in strengthening this vital part of parish life.
Finally, next Sunday is the Solemnity of Mary’s Assumption into Heaven. Because it falls on a Sunday in Ordinary Time, the solemnity takes precedence. Weather permitting, we hope to have our Saturday Vigil Mass and our 11:30am Sunday Mass outdoors with a coffee social between the two morning liturgies in the Oak Room.
If you or a loved one has a prayer request be sure to let us know. Contact the rectory prayer line at 216-631-6872 x2333 and leave a message with a brief description of your intention. Also, if any parishioner is need of the Anointing of the Sick, please contact the rectory and leave a message at x2104.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Gurnick
