Back to previous Mass times

STARTING OCTOBER 2nd!!

Saturday Vigil Mass will be at 4:30pm

Sunday Masses will be at 8:30am and 11:00am

When public liturgies resumed in May 2020, I made the decision to change our parish weekend schedule in order to address three factors:

  •  Having leadership responsibilities at both Saint Patrick and Saint Malachi in our pre-vaccination phase of Covid, I was concerned that if I or another priest were to become ill, we couldn’t cover all the Masses at both parishes so spacing them further apart would allow a priest to move from one liturgy to another with a reasonable amount of time in between.  Since that time, we are blessed to have to the regular support of Fr. Hollis and Fr. Reim.
  •   In May 2020, the CDC advised that we should routinely disinfect the church in between liturgies.  Our group of dedicated volunteers and staff utilized a fogger and all common surfaces were wiped down after every Mass at that time.  This practice evolved as the CDC better understood the behavior of the coronavirus.  We no longer are required to do this kind of disinfecting.
  •  Our Parish School of Religion (PSR) and some other faith formation initiatives were modified during this period.  The spacing between morning liturgies afforded more flexibility for these programs.  The 2021-2022 programming does not require more time as all of it has been adjusted to fit between the two liturgies.

In light of these considerations and after consulting with staff and other parish leaders, therefore, I am pleased to announce that we will be returning to the Mass schedule in place before the pandemic.

Effective October 2nd, the WEEKEND MASS SCHEDULE WILL BE:

Saturday Vigil Mass –   4:30pm   (will no longer be 5:00pm after 9/25/2021)

Sunday Masses –       8:30am

11:00am  (will no longer be 11:30am after 9/26/2021)
