A recent scam has been circulating around claiming that clergy or pastoral leaders are “seeking assistance” from parishioners. The message actually includes the individual’s name but comes from a fake email address or text message. Do NOT open it or reply to it. Eliminate it even from your “trash.” These are part of the scam by which folks are being asked to reply to a supposed urgent plea from a leader with the request of sending money or purchasing of gift cards.
Please be advised that no parishioner would ever receive from any of our staff members an email seeking immediate financial assistance for any reason whatsoever. Any requests for assistance will always be in person, with a personal call, through the bulletin or official solicitation via USPS from St. Patrick Parish.
