Divine Mercy and Night of Confessions

Dear Friends and Parishioners,

As Lent invites us to embrace God’s mercy, all are welcome to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy after the Sunday 8:30am Mass throughout Lent.  The group will meet in the sanctuary near the tabernacle.

There is also a Divine Mercy prayer group (called a Cenacle) that meets every other Thursday night at 7pm in the church for prayer and reflection.  Two special meetings are being planned during the Lenten Season to welcome those who are interested in learning more about this important devotion.  Those dates are March 9 and March 23.

The devotion is inspired by the revelations St Faustina received from our Lord in the 1930s but the message of Mercy is so relevant and needed today!

I also invite you to mark your calendar for March 8 as we join our partner parishes for the diocesan Night of Confessions at St Ignatius High School’s chapel (5:00-8:00pm).   We will have at least six confessors throughout the evening.  Come and join us for this beautiful experience of grace. And don’t forget to bring a family member or friend!

May we each grow in our relationship with the Lord and increase our love for one another during these days of spiritual renewal.

Prayerfully yours in the Lord of Life,
Fr Gurnick
