Feast of the Immaculate Conception

The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary falls on Friday, December 8, and is a holy day of obligation. Our Masses will be as follows:

Thursday, December 7th

  • 5:30pm Vigil Mass at St. Patrick

Friday, December 8th

  • 8:00am Mass at St. Patrick
  • 12:00 Noon Mass at St. Malachi
  • 5:30pm Mass at St. Patrick
  • 9:00pm – 1:00am on 12/9 – Vigil For Life – Rectory Chapel

It was on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in 1531, (then celebrated on December 9th), that Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas and the Unborn, first appeared to St. Juan Diego. The National Night of Prayer for Life bridges these feasts.

Saint Patrick Parish is honored to host this year’s National Night of Prayer for Life event in our rectory chapel. Join us as we pray for the most vulnerable of the world, especially the unborn and other brothers and sisters in need of prayer.  This national vigil invites us to gather for Eucharistic Adoration, the Rosary, and other devotions from 9pm, Friday, December 8, until 1am Saturday, December 9. Join us at any point. Come through the office entrance. Refreshments provided throughout the evening.
