To better ensure the safety of visitors, AED units (automated external defibrillator) First Aid kits were previously installed at both locations. An AED is a portable device that can be used to treat a person whose heart has suddenly stopped working. In an effort to ensure that they can be properly used if they are ever needed, we will be offering training sessions at both parishes in their use. The training is voluntary, but we are hoping people will take advantage of it for everyone’s benefit.
We are starting by scheduling 4 training classes, two at each parish. The class will provide certification in First Aid, AED, CPR. You only need to attend one class. The class can be taken at either location, whichever best meets your schedule. There is a limit on how many can attend a single class so we need to schedule who will attend which class. The schedule for these first four training sessions is below:
Saint Malachi
- Sunday, February 16th 11 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, February 27th 1:00p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saint Patrick
- Sunday, February 23rd Noon- -4:00 p.m.
- Thursday, March 6th Noon – 3:00 p.m.
Please check your schedule and if you are able to attend one of these sessions, please contact Bob Knopf at 216.631.6872 ext. 2103 or bob.knopf@stpatrickbridge.org to check for availability and reserve your spot.
If you are already CPR/FIRST-AID/AED certified and would like to let us know which Mass you attend, it would be helpful to have a list of people we can rely on. Please reach out to me.
Thank you and God Bless you for all you do at St. Patrick or St. Malachi.
