On Labor Day, Monday, September 4th, at 9AM, our partner parishes will celebrate at Saint Malachi the Thomas McIntyre Memorial Mass to celebrate the gift of labor and the dignity of those who labor. The Church’s support of the labor movement, dating from the late 1880’s, is a crowning achievement of our Catholic social doctrine. This liturgy offers us the opportunity to recall the true purpose of the holiday: to pray for both the protection of all workers and the work labor unions organized to provide for the personal and professional development of their members. A reception will follow in the hall after Mass.
