Laudato Si’ Week + Litter Pilgrimage

May 22-29: Creation Care Week for Catholics worldwide as we mark the 7th anniversary of Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home, the encyclical by our Holy Father. Catholics will gather (in person and virtually) in their respective dioceses to listen and respond together to the cry of creation and intensify our efforts to bring Ladato Si’ to life as we walk the Synodal path this year.  See resources and programming at https://laudatosiweek.org/ . St Pat’s Creation Care is highlighting three events this week. Please read below.

Mon, May 23, 7-8:30pm: “Environmental Symptoms of Racial Disparity in NE Ohio: Practical Ways for Parishes, Schools and Individuals to Respond.”  Webinar presenter: Kim Foreman, Executive Director at Environmental Health Watch . Sponsor: Catholic Diocese of Cleveland-Care for God’s Creation Parish Network.  Will conclude with short prayer service.  For Zoom link, contact jcampbell@ccdocle.org.

Tue, May 24, 1pm: Diocesan Efforts on Creation Care (webinar).  In response to Pope Francis’ document Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home, several dioceses across the US have devised plans to put care for God’s creation into action. Catholic Climate Covenant is hosting this educational series featuring representatives of the Archdioceses of Atlanta and Chicago, who have become champions in implementing Laudato Si’.  Info with Paz@CatholicClimateCovenant.org .
