New friends and events

Dear Friends and Parishioners of Saint Patrick,

This past week was filled with some fun and grace-filled events!  As you can see on our bulletin cover, a number of our engaged couples participated in a date at the Cleveland Museum of Art as part of their marriage preparation last Sunday.  Most of these couples are preparing to marry in 2022.  Please remember all of our engaged couples in your prayers as they look forward to their vocation of marriage and family.

On Wednesday evening we enjoyed a special Meet & Greet for newly registered families.  This is an opportunity for them to learn a little more about Saint Patrick’s history as well as opportunities to get involved with those who have called this community home for years.  If you are new to the parish and haven’t had the opportunity to register, we invite you to contact the rectory office or to register online. A member of our staff will personally reach out to you. Welcome!

If you haven’t signed up yet for our Lenten Scripture Journey, please check out today’s bulletin for more details.  And all are welcome to join us next Wednesday, February 23rd, as we welcome Ursuline Sister Lisa Beltz who will offer reflections on the passion and resurrection narrative through the lens of St. John’s Gospel.  The talk will begin at 6:30pm in the Lower Hall, preceded by mass at 5:30pm and some light refreshments before the talk.  This promises to be a wonderful way to help us prepare for Lent.

I also hope that you can come down to the Lower Hall after each Mass next weekend (February 26 & 27) for homemade beignets (deep fried dough smothered in powdered sugar) and bacon as we get a little taste of Mardis Gras before Ash Wednesday.

Finally, thank you for your support of this year’s annual drive for Catholic Charities.  Your support helps Charities do so much good throughout the entire Diocese of Cleveland!

For love of God and Neighbor,

Fr. Gurnick
