Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Patrick,
This Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of the Lord (aka Corpus Christi Sunday). Please join us any time after the 11:30am Sunday Mass until 6:00pm Benediction in the front yard of the rectory for quiet time and periods of public gathering. We will pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3pm for the needs of our parishioners and neighbors and a Rosary for Life and Peace at 5pm, concluding with Benediction.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather in the presence of our Eucharistic Lord to offer prayers of adoration, contrition, thanksgiving, and petition as we extend support for one another during this challenging, but also graced-filled, chapter in history.
So bring your favorite lawn chair and join us for a part of the afternoon or even to stop by for a few minutes. Some seating, water, and a restroom will be available during the afternoon. In the event of inclement weather, we’ll spend our time in prayer inside the church.
I also thank everyone for their patience as we begin to gradually implement new guidelines and practices for the liturgy. In order to make this time of transition reasonable for everyone, we will be making these changes over the next several weeks. Your safety and comfort remains our priority.
Sincerely yours in Christ Jesus,
Fr. Gurnick
