What is the Season of Creation at St. Pat’s?
Each September, the Roman Catholic Church joins with other Christian denominations across the
globe to mark the Season of Creation – September 1 through October 4, the Feast of St Francis of
Assisi.
Here at St. Patrick Church-Bridge Ave., we also mark the season with creation-focused prayers
and songs at liturgy and weekly reflections on the Sunday readings. The Season of Creation is a time
to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversion, and
commitment together. During the Season of Creation, we join our sisters and brothers in the
ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home.
