Every year since 2015, the Vatican has called on Catholics to recognize September 1 through October 4 (Feast of St. Francis) as the Season of Creation. These five weeks are a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversion, and commitment together.

In this 2-minute video, Pope Francis invites us to “pray that each of us listen with our hearts to the cry of the Earth and of the victims of environmental disasters and the climate crisis, making a personal commitment to care for the world we inhabit.” This week: we pray for the poor of our world, and particularly the poor of Cleveland, that we may work collectively to make safe and healthy environments for them.
