Community Connections

Although not governed by our parish, we’re pleased to provide office and meeting space to these valuable community resources.

Interreligious Task Force on Central America (IRTF)

IRTF brings together people from various faith and secular communities to act in solidarity with oppressed peoples in southern Mexico, Central America, and Colombia through consciousness-raising and direct consumer and political advocacy to build long-term structural change. IRTF was formed as a nonviolent response to the horrific violence of December 2, 1980, when two members of the Cleveland Mission Team in El Salvador were murdered: Jean Donovan and Sister Dorothy Kazel. People of faith and conscience formed IRTF so that we here in Cleveland—and across Ohio—would organize to live out their legacy of standing in solidarity with oppressed peoples as they struggle for peace, dignity, and justice.

Offices are located on the first floor of the Club (up the front steps from Bridge Avenue).

The Hummingbird Project

Through global educational initiatives, THP focuses on cultivating a living soil, growing healthy food and capturing renewable energy. Projects include the Cleveland Seed Bank.

Narcotics Anonymous

In-person NA meetings are held every Tuesday at 6:15pm in the Oak Room of the Club. See NA Ohio for more information.

Our parish extends beyond our campus. Here’s how we’re at work with our Near West neighbors.

Metanoia Project

Since 2007, the Metanoia Project has served the homeless population in the Near West communities of Cleveland.

St. Patrick Parish has been integral to Metanoia’s success through financial, volunteer, mental health, medical and legal support as well as our meals program over these many years. Some of Metanoia’s successes directly attributable to our support include helping our men and women transition from being shelter-averse to moving into temporary and then permanent housing; developing life skills and job skills through training that has helped many to become more self-reliant and independent; the provision of medical and mental health support that has brought many to a new way of thinking about their lives and their future.

Currently, the Metanoia Project is working with the Cleveland Food Bank, Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, West Side Catholic Center, Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless and other community resources to grow the success of our men and women through job placement, permanent housing, a viable human support network and other resources.

We continue to ask for your support whether through financial or volunteer activities at one of our local shelters.

For more information contact Jim Clark at jim.clark@stpatrickbridge.org.

If you would like to volunteer, call the Metanoia Project at 216-338-0181.

If you would like to donate, checks should be made payable to Metanoia and addressed to:
